Downslope windstorm
Another downslope wind storm north of Salt Lake City is underway. Easterly winds cascade down the Wasatch front like a waterfall and knocks down trees, power lines, and blows away trampolines. Check out these wind gusts at Lagoon amusement park, over 70 mph! Earlier it gusted more than 80 mph!!
Years ago I heard that the Sky Scraper Ferris wheel was built to withstand hurricane force wind. These storms are the reason why!
